GEODIS has obtained a new certification in Poland, enabling the logistics company to provide specialized transport services for the defence sector, including the handling of strategically important goods and dual-use products.
The company secured the Internal Compliance Programmes (ICP) certificate, which confirms that its internal procedures meet specific security and regulatory compliance requirements.
The certification expands GEODIS’ capabilities in Poland, allowing it to serve customers whose shipments are subject to strict national and European Union regulations.
These include companies transporting goods, technologies and services classified as strategically important, as well as products with both civilian and military applications.
Certification strengthens specialized transport services
The certificate was issued by CCJ, an accredited certification body operating within the Military University of Technology in Poland.
To obtain the certification, GEODIS reviewed and updated its internal procedures, conducted audits, trained employees and established responsibilities for its internal control system.
The system will remain subject to ongoing supervision and periodic assessments.
“This is another step in the development of specialist services of GEODIS in Poland,” said Marc Vollet, EVP of European Road Network at GEODIS.
The certification also supports the company’s ability to work with customers requiring additional safeguards for supply chain security, information access and regulatory compliance.
New opportunities in defence logistics
With the certification in place, GEODIS can pursue additional opportunities in Poland’s specialized logistics market, particularly among businesses operating in regulated sectors.
The development forms part of the company’s broader strategy to strengthen its transport services while maintaining security and compliance standards.
However, GEODIS has not announced any new defence transport contracts, fleet investments or additional facilities in connection with the certification.
The announcement therefore marks an expansion of the company’s service capabilities rather than the launch of a specific logistics project.
