Gemini Cooperation enhances Transpacific services with expanded port calls

The Gemini Cooperation, the strategic alliance between Hapag-Lloyd and Maersk, has announced key revisions to its Transpacific loops.

As part of the update, the TP6/WC1 service will now feature a second, eastbound call at Guangzhou (Nansha), reinforcing the port’s role as a critical export gateway.



The revised rotation for TP6/WC1 will be: Ho Chi Minh (Cai Mep) – Guangzhou (Nansha) – Shenzhen (Yantian) – Los Angeles – Shenzhen (Yantian) – returning to Ho Chi Minh.

Meanwhile, the TP8/WC2 loop will be extended north to include Tianjin, offering improved coverage of Northern China. The full rotation will now run: Tianjin – Busan – Shanghai – Los Angeles – Oakland – returning to Tianjin.
