Framo has signed a four-year service agreement with Petrobras covering pumping systems across the Brazilian energy company’s fleet of approximately 30 floating production, storage and offloading (FPSO) units.
The agreement is Framo’s largest service contract of its kind to date. It covers inspection, maintenance and training for Framo pumps installed across the Petrobras FPSO fleet.
The equipment includes seawater lift, firewater, cargo and water injection pumps.
Under the agreement, Framo will introduce a structured programme of annual inspections, maintenance and training across the fleet, rather than handling individual service requirements separately.
Framo expands support in Brazil
Service work will be carried out by Framo’s local team in Rio de Janeiro, supporting Petrobras’ offshore operations throughout the four-year contract.
“This agreement represents a significant step in how we support Petrobras across the lifecycle of its equipment,” said Morten Sivertsen, Director, Framo Services Offshore.
“Rather than looking at individual service requirements in isolation, we will be working across a large fleet under a structured programme covering inspection, maintenance and training.”
Framo has operated in Brazil since 1995. Its installed base in the country is expected to exceed 1,500 pumps by 2028 as additional FPSOs enter the Brazilian market.
The company is also expanding its service capacity in Rio de Janeiro with a new maintenance facility at Galeão.
The facility will provide local inspection, maintenance and training capabilities as Framo’s installed equipment base continues to grow.
The agreement was signed during ROG.e 2026 in Rio de Janeiro by Sylvia Anjos, Director of Exploration and Production at Petrobras, and Ruffo Chiconelli, Business Development Director at Framo do Brasil.
