
Disney Cruise Line and the Port of San Diego have signed a new agreement extending their homeport partnership through at least 2031, approximately doubling the number of Disney cruises departing from San Diego annually.
The arrangement secures Disney non-exclusive priority access to the North and South berths at the B Street cruise terminal, supporting more efficient passenger operations and improved terminal planning for the port.
The agreement marks the first time in over 20 years that a cruise line has offered a minimum annual guarantee at the Port of San Diego, with more than one million Disney passengers anticipated through the port over the course of the agreement.
Itineraries will cover Catalina Island, Baja and the Mexican Riviera, with a broader range of seasonal departures than previously available.
The 2026-2027 season will see two Disney vessels homeporting in San Diego simultaneously.
The Disney Magic arrives in October, offering three to seven-night voyages through November before a 14-night Panama Canal transit to Galveston.
The Disney Wonder will homeport in San Diego from October 2026 through April 2027, sailing three to seven-night itineraries to Catalina Island, Cabo San Lucas, Ensenada and Puerto Vallarta.
Jose Fernandez, Vice President of Port Strategy, Development and Operations at Disney Cruise Line, described San Diego as an important and enduring part of the company’s West Coast operations and framed the agreement as supporting long-term growth.
Port of San Diego Board Chair Ann Moore highlighted the economic contribution of the cruise partnership to the regional economy, noting the thousands of visitors the arrangement brings to the waterfront each year.
Disney Cruise Line has operated from the Port of San Diego since 2012 and maintains community engagement programmes in the region focused on youth empowerment and environmental conservation.
