COSCO vessel suffers fire

According to Maritime Bulletin, COSCO container vessel reported fire, while it was en route from Port Klang in Malaysia to Nhava Sheva (India), on January 04, 2020. Fire erupted on a container (or more) of COSCO PACIFIC. The mega boxship was underway in Arabian sea off southwest Indian coast.

Read how competition regulations are making the fire-issue worse as liner operators are forbidden from discussing their customers with each other.

It is the first major fire accident, that is reported in 2020, after the massive amount of them that we saw in 2019.
