COSCO expands Far East network with new direct Poland-Asia service

COSCO SHIPPING Lines will expand its Far East coverage with the launch of its new AEU7 service, creating the first direct container connection between Poland and key Asian markets including Vietnam, Malaysia and Hong Kong.

The first call at Baltic Hub in Gdańsk is scheduled for the end of August 2026.

The new service strengthens the position of Port of Gdańsk as a growing gateway for Asian cargo flows into Central and Eastern Europe.

With the addition of AEU7, Gdańsk will have two direct Far East services alongside COSCO’s existing AEU1 loop.

The planned AEU7 rotation includes:

  • GdaÅ„sk
  • Rotterdam
  • Zeebrugge
  • Port Klang
  • Shanghai
  • Xiamen
  • Hong Kong
  • Yantian
  • Cai Mep
  • Singapore
  • Felixstowe

  • GdaÅ„sk

The carrier said the new service will improve service availability and operational flexibility while increasing direct access to Southeast Asian markets.

The launch also strengthens links between Poland and manufacturing hubs in Vietnam and Malaysia as shippers continue diversifying supply chains across Asia.

The expansion reflects growing demand for direct ocean services connecting Northern Europe with Asian export markets.
