COSCO announces new service linking Mexico with Far East

COSCO SHIPPING has launched Mexico Express Service (WSA5), connecting key Mexican Pacific ports like Ensenada, Manzanillo, and Lázaro Cárdenas with major Far East ports such as Busan, Dalian, Ningbo, Shanghai, and Qingdao.

The Chinese ocean carrier will offer 3,000-5,000 TEU slots per voyage.

COSCO SHIPPING currently operates 12 liner routes calling Mexico, with a total capacity of over 220,000 TEUs.

“By leveraging seamless intermodal connections, we provide more reliable and stable ‘container shipping + port + related logistics’ full supply chain solutions for global clients,” said the container giant.

Additionally, COSCO SHIPPING signed Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs) with Hisense and Hutchison Ports to advance fully digital supply chain cooperation, marking a new chapter in its business development in Mexico.
