CMA CGM updates PSS from China to Africa and Maldives

CMA CGM Group has reached an agreement with the shareholders of Fattal Group to acquire 100% of the company.

CMA CGM has announced updated Peak Season Surcharges (PSS) from China and Asia to multiple destinations across Africa and the Maldives, effective from mid-March 2026.

East Africa and Indian Ocean

For shipments from China and Hong Kong/Macau:

  • Kenya (Mombasa)

    • Mar 15–24: USD 100/20’, USD 500/40’ & 45’

    • From Mar 25: USD 300/20’, USD 900/40’ & 45’

  • Tanzania (Dar es Salaam)

    • North & Central China:

      • Mar 15–24: USD 400/container

      • From Mar 25: USD 450/20’, USD 900/40’ & 45’

    • South China:

      • From Mar 15: USD 450/20’, USD 900/40’ & 45’

  • Mozambique (Beira, Maputo, Nacala)

    • Mar 15–24: USD 400/20’, USD 700/40’ & 45’

    • From Mar 25: USD 500/20’, USD 900/40’ & 45’

  • Maldives (Male)

    • From Mar 25: USD 150/20’, USD 800/40’ & 45’

South Africa

  • From Far East to South Africa (from Mar 27):

    • USD 300/20’, USD 600/40’ & 45’

West Africa

From China to West Africa (effective Mar 23, 2026):

  • Nigeria, Angola, Congo, DRC, Namibia, Gabon, Cameroon

    • USD 715 per TEU

  • Côte d’Ivoire, Benin, Ghana, Togo, Equatorial Guinea

    • USD 740 per TEU

These surcharges apply to all cargo types, with West Africa rates applicable to short-term contracts.

CMA CGM said the adjustments support continued service reliability and operational efficiency across these trade lanes.
