CMA CGM applies PSS from China to West Africa

CMA CGM has announced an increase in its Freight All Kinds (FAK) rates as part of its ongoing effort to maintain reliable.

CMA CGM will introduce new Peak Season Surcharges (PSS) for shipments from China to several West African destinations starting 15 March 2026, until further notice.

Nigeria and South Range

The surcharge will apply to cargo moving to Nigeria, Angola, Congo, Democratic Republic of the Congo, Namibia, Gabon, and Cameroon.

  • Amount: USD 600 per TEU

  • Cargo: All types

  • Contracts: FAK, spot, monthly, and quarterly

Central Range (Except Nigeria)

For shipments to Côte d’Ivoire, Benin, Ghana, Togo, and Equatorial Guinea, the surcharge will be:

  • Amount: USD 625 per TEU

  • Cargo: All types

  • Contracts: FAK, spot, monthly, and quarterly

The new PSS applies to short-term contracts and will remain in effect until further notice.
