CMA CGM announces new FAK Rates from Mediterranean to Middle East, Red Sea and Far East

CMA CGM has announced new Freight All Kinds (FAK) rates from Mediterranean ports to the Middle East Gulf, Red Sea and Far East, effective from 1 June 2026 until further notice.

For shipments to the Middle East Gulf, rates from West Mediterranean and Adriatic ports are set at US$6,000 per 20-foot container and US$6,100 per 40-foot container. Rates from the Black Sea reach US$6,600/6,700, while East Mediterranean ports stand at US$6,500/6,600 for 20-foot and 40-foot containers respectively.

For the Red Sea trade, rates range from US$2,000 to US$3,100 per 20-foot container depending on origin. East Mediterranean ports have the lowest rates at US$2,000 per 20-foot container and US$2,100 per 40-foot container.

CMA CGM also introduced new FAK rates from the Mediterranean to the Far East. Rates start from US$145 from West Mediterranean ports, US$225 from Adriatic ports, US$350 from East Mediterranean ports and US$400 from Black Sea ports for both 20-foot and 40-foot containers.

The rates apply to dry cargo and paying empties shipped from Mediterranean main ports to base ports in the Middle East, Red Sea and Far East. Additional surcharges may apply for outports, terminal handling charges, peak season surcharges and security-related fees.
