Capital Maritime Finance Corp. has opened the public offering for its planned listing on Euronext Athens, seeking fresh capital to support its containership investment programme.
The company is offering up to 42 million new common shares to qualified and retail investors in Greece. The public offering runs from 13 to 15 October 2026, while all company shares are expected to be admitted to the Main Market of Euronext Athens.
The public offering and the listing have not yet been completed.
IPO price range and fundraising target
Capital Maritime Finance has set a binding offer price range of €7.00 to €7.68 per share. The final offer price will be determined through the electronic book-building process and will be identical for qualified, cornerstone and retail investors.
The company aims to raise approximately €250 million, although the offering may generate up to €300 million. Assuming proceeds of €250 million, estimated net proceeds after issuance expenses would amount to approximately €239.3 million.
Cornerstone investors have committed €70 million to the offering. At least 30% of the new shares, excluding those allocated to cornerstone investors, will be reserved for retail investors, subject to final demand and allocation.
Proceeds to support containership programme
Capital Maritime Finance currently owns 13 containerships with an aggregate capacity of 27,891 TEUs. Its fleet is expected to grow to 36 containerships following the delivery of 23 additional vessels through 2028.
The company’s investment programme amounts to approximately US$1.8 billion. The public offering proceeds are expected to support the financing of this fleet expansion alongside existing bank financing and operating cash flow.
The planned fleet will comprise 26 feeder vessels with capacities ranging from 1,800 to 2,900 TEUs and 10 LNG dual-fuel Neo-Panamax containerships of 8,800 TEUs.
Capital Maritime Finance has secured long-term charters with liner operators including CMA CGM and Unifeeder. Based on company projections, its contracted charter revenue amounts to approximately US$3.9 billion through 2038.
Completion of the capital increase remains conditional on the admission of the company’s shares to Euronext Athens and compliance with the exchange’s free-float requirements. If admission is not achieved, the offering will be cancelled and participating investors will receive their funds back within two business days.
