CMA CGM has announced a revision of its Bunker Adjustment Factor (BAF) on the ro-ro South service connecting France with Tunisia, in response to recent developments in bunker fuel prices.
The updated surcharge, which applies to both import and export cargo, will come into effect on May 1, 2026.
Under the new structure, the BAF for full rolling units will be set at EUR 649 per unit, while empty rolling units will be charged at EUR 430 per unit. Other rolling cargo, including trucks, earth-moving equipment, agricultural machinery and livestock vehicles, will be priced at EUR 73 per lane meter.
Passenger cars and minivans will be subject to a surcharge of EUR 248 per unit, while breakbulk cargo will be charged EUR 41 per cubic meter.
The company said the adjustment reflects the evolution of bunker costs and is intended to ensure the continued efficiency and sustainability of its intra-Europe operations.
