CEVA Almajdouie Logistics and Port of NEOM are working together to strengthen multimodal freight connections between the Red Sea and inland markets across the Middle East.
The collaboration aims to improve cargo movements between Europe, Egypt, the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries and Iraq by combining maritime access with road transport, warehousing and customs services.
The initiative brings together Port of NEOM’s location on the Red Sea and CEVA Almajdouie Logistics’ regional trucking network, cross-border transport capabilities and customs brokerage services.
Connecting maritime and inland transport networks
The collaboration focuses on improving cargo movement beyond the port by linking maritime services with inland logistics infrastructure.
The partners aim to support several cargo segments, including containerized freight, RoPax traffic, bulk and general cargo, as well as heavy-lift and project shipments.
Bonded warehousing and customs clearance services are also expected to support cross-border movements, providing customers with additional options for transporting goods between regional and international markets.
“Connecting maritime gateways directly to high-capacity inland networks is critical to modern supply chain resilience,” said Stefano Pollotti, CEO of CEVA Almajdouie Logistics.
The initiative could also support the movement of oversized equipment and infrastructure components through specialized inland transport services.
By combining port access with regional distribution capabilities, the partners intend to improve connectivity between maritime routes and destinations across Saudi Arabia and neighboring markets.
The announcement does not specify new scheduled freight services, additional transport capacity or an implementation timetable for the proposed multimodal connections.
