APM Terminals appoints new Chief Commercial Officer

Birna Ósk Einarsdóttir will join APM Terminals Senior Management Team in The Hague of The Netherlands as Chief Commercial Officer (CCO) in January 2022, replacing Jonathan Goldner.

The new appointment comes after the earlier announcement in September that Jonathan Goldner who had been the company’s CCO since 2017 will take over the role of Head of Asia Region at APM Terminals in September.

Birna Ósk Einarsdóttir, who is currently working in Icelandair Group where she also serves as CCO, is experienced in strategy, customer experience, sales, services, marketing and business development and she also holds a degree in Leadership and Management from Háskóli Íslands, University of Iceland.

Prior to joining Icelandair Group, Birna worked as CCO at Iceland Telecom and Executive Vice President of Marketing and Business Development at Landsvirkjun – the National Power Company of Iceland.

The CEO of APM Terminals, Morten Engelstoft, referring to Birna, stated that her 16 years’ experience in telecommunications and Information technology (IT) “will be of great value to the business, as technology and data are becoming crucial for our operations.”

Birna Ósk Einarsdóttir commented, “I am excited to join the APM Terminals and be part of safety, customer and people-driven organisation – one that plays a vital role in global trade and that allows people from around the world to create and live better lives.”
