AD Ports Group has officially launched Noatum Ports – Maqta Ayla Digital Solutions, a joint venture with Aqaba Development Corporation (ADC) to accelerate the digital transformation of Jordan’s ports and logistics sector.
Operating under AD Ports Group’s Noatum Ports division, the company will develop and operate a Port Community System (PCS) for Aqaba. The platform will digitally connect port users, the container terminal, government authorities and other stakeholders to improve information sharing and operational efficiency.
The joint venture has also completed the first phase of a truck management system at Aqaba’s ports. The digital platform creates a single window for logistics processes, helping streamline permits, reduce waiting times and improve cargo flows.
The launch ceremony was attended by officials from the Aqaba Special Economic Zone Authority (ASEZA), Aqaba Development Corporation and AD Ports Group.
Shadi Al Majali, Chief Commissioner of ASEZA, said the initiative supports Aqaba’s ambition to become a fully integrated digital logistics gateway on the Red Sea. He added that the truck management system will improve traffic flow and cargo-handling efficiency.
Hussein Al Safadi, CEO of Aqaba Development Corporation, said the partnership combines ADC’s vision with AD Ports Group’s global expertise in port development and operations.
Mohamed Al Tamimi, CEO of Noatum Ports – AD Ports Group, said the launch strengthens the company’s long-term commitment to Jordan and supports supply chain efficiency through advanced digital solutions.
The project expands AD Ports Group’s growing presence in Jordan. The company already operates the Aqaba Multipurpose Port, developed the Aqaba Cruise Terminal, is leading the Marsa Zayed waterfront development, and manages digital customs solutions at the Al Madouneh Customs Centre.
