Yangpu eyes container links to Europe and North America

Authorities of China’s Hainan island, home to Yangpu port, have said that they are hoping to start long-haul container shipping links to Europe and North America this year.

Container volumes went up by 9% year-on-year in 2024, to 2 million TEUs, and the state-owned COSCO Shipping Lines would be mapping the routes.
