PT Samudera Indonesia Tbk and Toyota Tsusho Corporation have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to develop integrated logistics infrastructure in Indonesia.
The agreement marks the start of a strategic collaboration focused on developing and operating an integrated distribution centre that will combine transportation and warehousing services, bonded zone facilities and supply chain solutions.
The partners aim to combine Samudera’s expertise in shipping, ports and logistics with Toyota Tsusho’s industrial capabilities to improve the efficiency and competitiveness of Indonesia’s logistics sector.
According to the companies, the collaboration will also incorporate digital technologies to enhance operational visibility and optimize logistics processes, while supporting carbon neutrality initiatives and green transformation through environmentally friendly solutions.
The MoU represents the first step in what both companies described as a long-term partnership to strengthen Indonesia’s logistics infrastructure and support the country’s evolving supply chain requirements.
