GEODIS has reached an agreement with Deret SAS to acquire part of the French company’s transport and logistics activities.
The planned transaction will expand GEODIS’ contract logistics network in France and strengthen its presence in the luxury, cosmetics and pharmaceutical sectors.
The acquisition includes Deret Logistique and Deret Transporteur, together with their subsidiaries Sogipac, Logtex and Deret Services Numériques. It also covers part of Deret SAS’ logistics real estate assets.

The businesses included in the transaction operate 13 transport agencies and 28 logistics sites. In total, 2,400 employees work for Deret SAS.
Through the acquisition, GEODIS plans to expand its warehouse network across France. The company will also strengthen its presence in the Orléans region, which serves as an important logistics hub.
GEODIS said the geographic and operational footprints of the two companies are complementary. The transaction will also broaden its customer portfolio, particularly in sectors such as luxury goods, cosmetics and pharmaceuticals.
Founded in 1947, Deret provides transport and contract logistics services to French and international companies.
The proposed acquisition remains subject to consultation with employee representative bodies at both companies. It also requires the usual closing conditions, including merger control clearance.
