Ports of Stockholm has appointed Magdalena Bosson as the new chief executive officer (CEO) taking over her role from 1 January 2023, after the decision of Stockholms Hamn AB board of directors on 1 December.
Bosson has many years of experience from her previous roles, which include transport department director at Stockholm City Council, CEO at Familjebostäder, deputy county governor of the County Administrative Board of Stockholm, Municipality of Huddinge deputy director and most recently as Stockholm City manager.
“I have followed the development of the ports in my previous roles and I am very happy to now be taking over as Chief Executive Officer for Ports of Stockholm. Developing vital infrastructure for sustainable transport to and from the Stockholm Region, together with our customers and colleagues, will be very rewarding,” she commented on her new appointment.
Magdalena Bosson will replace Thomas Andersson, who has been Ports of Stockholm CEO for four years and will now take the post of executive director of the City of Stockholm Development Administration.
“Being able to open Stockholm Norvik Port, navigate through the pandemic and time of crisis, as well as developing the business, both through important sustainability projects and with new customers, has been incredibly satisfying,” stated Andersson, who leaves Ports of Stockholm on 14 December.
Alexandra Lindström, the current chief financial officer at Ports of Stockholm, will step in as temporary CEO of the company until 1 January.
