Neptune Lines has welcomed Neptune Pireas to the Port of Piraeus, marking an important milestone for both the vessel and the company as it returns to the port where Neptune’s story began more than 50 years ago.
Neptune Pireas is the first vessel delivered under the company’s expanded Genesis Project, which will comprise six new vessels aimed at modernising the fleet and supporting lower-emission finished vehicle transport.
The investment forms part of Neptune Group’s long-term strategy to enhance operational efficiency while strengthening its position in the finished vehicle logistics sector.
“Neptune Pireas, the first of the six vessels under our expanded Genesis Project, is a tribute to our home, Piraeus,” said Melina Travlos, Chair of the Board of Neptune Group. “Welcoming her to our historic port, together with the Neptune family, reflects the values that have defined our Group for more than 50 years. It is our people who continue to inspire our journey and remain the driving force behind our Group’s evolution.”
