MSC is expanding its Far East–Mexico network with the launch of a second dedicated service, Sierra, complementing its existing Mexicas loop.
The new Sierra service will deploy seven vessels ranging from 4,000 to 9,000 TEUs and operate on the rotation: Shanghai, Qingdao, Busan, Manzanillo, Lazaro Cardenas and back to Shanghai, as reported by DynaLiners.
At the same time, MSC will continue operating the Mexicas service with eight 5,000 TEU vessels on the route: Ningbo, Shanghai, Lazaro Cardenas, Manzanillo, Ensenada and back to Ningbo.
The addition of Sierra increases MSC’s capacity between Asia and Mexico, providing customers with an additional dedicated service and expanded coverage across key Mexican gateway ports.
