MSC will update its Gulf to South America East Coast (SAEC) String 1 service by adding a new port call in Brazil.
Starting with the MAERSK CHAMBAL voyage 618A/623R, the service will include Itajai between Paranagua and Santos.
The addition strengthens MSC’s coverage in southern Brazil and creates an additional gateway for cargo flows into the region.
The carrier said the change aims to improve network reliability and support growing trade demand across the Americas.
The revised rotation enhances access to key industrial and agricultural markets in southern Brazil, while offering more flexibility for shippers moving cargo between the Gulf region and South America.
MSC continues to adjust its network to optimize port coverage and maintain service efficiency across its global operations.
