Menarini chooses Kuehne+Nagel for product distribution in Türkiye

Menarini, a global pharmaceutical company, has partnered with Kuehne+Nagel to manage the distribution of its healthcare products across Türkiye.

By leveraging Kuehne+Nagel’s expertise in handling sensitive healthcare goods and its strong local network, Menarini aims to ensure reliable, nationwide access to its products.

“The product quality delivered to the end consumer, the patient, is a priority for Menarini. We were looking for a logistics partner who can assure the integrity and safety of the products, timely and efficient distribution, and we knew we could put trust in Kuehne+Nagel’s global experience in handling healthcare and consumer goods,” stated Cenk Balcı, General Manager Menarini Türkiye.

To facilitate convenient availability for patients across the country, Kuehne+Nagel provides road logistics services, transporting approximately 3,500 full truckloads (FTLs) and around 800,000 parcels of less-than-truckloads (LCLs) from Menarini’s warehouse in Hadımköy, Istanbul, to wholesalers across Türkiye.

In addition to healthcare logistics, Kuehne+Nagel also offers storage for Menarini’s non-healthcare goods, managing around 300 pallet positions in its Gebze facility in Kocaeli.

Based in Florence, Italy, Menarini operates in 140 countries and manages nine R&D centres and 18 manufacturing sites, producing over 500 million medication packs annually. Kuehne+Nagel Türkiye provides customized sea, air, road, and project logistics solutions, with over 100,000 sqm of warehousing space, including more than 45,000 sqm dedicated to healthcare products.

“We are excited to support Menarini in delivering their healthcare products across Türkiye. Our experience in handling sensitive goods, backed by the network of best-in-class facilities equipped to provide optimal storing conditions, allows Menarini to focus on their growth whilst we take care of their complex distribution needs,” concluded Matthias Blan, Managing Director Kuehne+Nagel Türkiye.
