The Maritime IT Networking Summit concluded successfully, reaffirming its position as a leading platform for digital transformation, technological innovation and strategic dialogue within the maritime industry.

Organised by Boussias Events on May 13–14, 2026 at Grecotel La Riviera, the event gathered key decision makers from the global maritime and technology sectors under the auspices of AMMITEC, Hellenic Institute of Marine Technology and Propeller Club.

The summit featured more than 400 scheduled one-to-one meetings, alongside two days of intensive networking and discussions focused on the challenges and opportunities surrounding the secure digitalisation of shipping.

Antonia Saratsopoulou, Managing Editor of Container News, served as the summit moderator, leading the event’s discussions and coordinating the conference programme and panel sessions throughout the two-day gathering.

A total of 37 senior executives from shipping companies and 37 technology and solutions providers participated in the event, exchanging expertise, presenting innovative solutions and exploring new approaches aimed at improving operational efficiency, cybersecurity and sustainability across the maritime sector.

The conference programme included two thematic panel discussions. The first panel, titled “Scaling Intelligence in Maritime: AI, Legacy & Enterprise Reality”, focused on the role of artificial intelligence and the challenges associated with integrating advanced digital technologies into legacy maritime systems.

The second panel, “Future Pathways in Maritime Security: Strengthening Digital Trust in the Maritime Ecosystem”, examined cybersecurity risks, digital resilience and strategies for strengthening trust across the maritime digital ecosystem.

Participating shipping companies included Angelicoussis Group, Danaos Shipping, Heidmar, Scorpio, Capital Ship Management, GasLog, Diana Shipping Services, Star Bulk, Navios Group, Dynagas, Eurobulk and many others.

Technology and solutions providers participating in the summit included Palo Alto Networks, Dell Technologies, Veeam Software, Fortinet, Lenovo, Schneider Electric and several other major industry players.

Palo Alto Networks served as Gold Sponsor, while Veeam hosted the networking lunch. Odyssey Cybersecurity hosted the wine and whiskey tasting session, Control System and SyntelliQ were Dinner Hosts, and Cosmos / Dell hosted the after-dinner drinks.

According to the organisers, preparations for the Maritime IT Networking Summit 2027 are already underway, with the aim of further strengthening the event’s international profile and strategic role in supporting the secure digital transformation of shipping.
