Maersk will update its fuel surcharge for truck transport in Skopje from 31 August 2026.
The carrier will apply a 25% fuel surcharge due to the situation in the Middle East and the resulting increase in fuel costs.
Weekly fuel surcharge reviews
Maersk described the adjustment as an exceptional measure that will apply during the coming weeks.
The carrier will use the following review process:
- The surcharge will be reviewed weekly instead of monthly.
- No trigger mechanism will apply during this period.
- Maersk will publish an update every Friday for the following week.
The surcharge will remain in place for as long as necessary to cover the additional costs incurred by the carrier.
The charges will appear on invoices under the following codes:
- EFS: Export Fuel Surcharge
- IFS: Import Fuel Surcharge
