Latin America: New rule on rate applicability

APL announces the following new rule on rate applicability, effective 1 February 2020.

ScopeNew Rule on Rate Applicability
All Latin America trades EXCEPT to/from the following countries/territories:
(Non-FMC only)
– Canada
– Puerto Rico
– U.S.
– Virgin Islands
The rates, rules and charges applicable to any given shipment are effective on vessel sailing date.
All Latin America trades to/from the following countries/territories:
(FMC)
– Canada
– Puerto Rico
– U.S.
– Virgin Islands
The rates, rules and charges applicable to any given shipment are effective on the date of cargo gate-in and cargo is in possession by APL or its agent.
