“We are providing further updates below pursuant to our CustomerInfo of September 14, 2018 related to Hurricane Florence. This catastrophic weather event constitutes an Act of God and/or force majeure situation, which by nature is beyond our control, and has forced Hapag-Lloyd and our partner lines to select alternative routing for cargo for the vessels affected. We extend our thoughts to our customers, and to all of those who have been and will be impacted by this storm. Hapag-Lloyd holds the safety of our people and cargo operations as our top priority. Please note that this will be our final update on Hurricane Florence.
As of today, September 17, 2018, at 11:00 AM EDT, we can inform that the following forecast is available:

Terminal Status:
USBAL – Normal conditions, terminal open
Norfolk – Normal conditions, terminal open
Wilmington – Zulu, terminal closed through Wednesday, September 19th.
Charleston – Normal conditions, terminal open
Savannah– Normal conditions, terminal open
Jacksonville, Port Everglades & Miami:Â Normal conditions, terminal open
Condition Whiskey: A readiness condition in which hurricane force winds are possible within 72 hours.
Condition X-Ray: A warning condition in which hurricane force winds are possible within 48 hours.
Condition Yankee: A danger condition in which hurricane force winds are possible within 24 hours.
Condition Zulu: A danger condition in which hurricane force winds are possible within 12 hours.
Intermodal Update:
Norfolk Southern Rail –Â
NS operating with metering volumes this morning from origin ramps in order to avoid congestion moving toward Norfolk.
The Charlotte, NC ramp has suspended operations due to sustained impacts of the storm. Will re-open as soon as conditions improve.
CSX Intermodal:Â
Charlotte ramp to Savannah and South Florida expect to be reinstated on Tue. 09/18/18.
State of South Carolina:Â
All previously reversed lanes out of Charleston were reset back to normal direction late last week, and the mandatory evacuation was cancelled late last week.
Trucking Conditions:Â
I-95 (mm187) from Exit 181 (SC 38) to Exit 190 (SC 34) has been closed in both directions due to flooding. The continued impacts of Florence have caused flooding throughout Dillon county. There is not a passable detour at this time and Motorists should avoid this area.
Trucking I-95 south closed near Fayetteville. All Lanes of I-95 South are closed near Dunn at Exit 71 (Long Branch Road) due to flooding. The road is expected to reopen by 8:30 AM, September 17, 2018.
Closed north of Wilmington. Lanes of I-40 are closed in both directions near Warsaw between Exit 364 (NC-24) and Exit 369 (US-117) due to flooding. The road is expected to reopen by 8:30 AM, September 17, 2018.
Additional closures to be notified as we receive information throughout the day.
