Hiab secures major US orders for MOFFETT forklifts and HIAB cranes

Hiab, part of Cargotec, has secured substantial orders for MOFFETT truck-mounted forklifts and HIAB loader cranes in the United States.

Two major customers in the home improvement sector placed MOFFETT orders valued at US$20.1 million. Separately, a roofing and building materials distributor ordered a combination of MOFFETTs and HIABs totalling US$6.1 million. These orders were recorded in Q4 2024, with deliveries set to begin in 2025.

The truck-mounted forklifts on order belong to the MOFFETT M8 NX range. With a lifting capacity of up to 3,500 kg, the M8 NX efficiently handles heavy loads, even on challenging terrain, while remaining compact enough to fit on most trucks or trailers. The M8 NX offers a variety of options and attachments, including 4-way steering, which enables manoeuvring in tight spaces with long loads.

“Hiab’s long-standing partnership with all three customers highlights our deep understanding of their needs in the US market. The established relationship provides a strong foundation for future collaboration and growth,” stated Pauliina Kunvik, Senior Vice President of Sales and Services in North America at Hiab.

The ordered HIAB loader cranes include four models from the heavy range portfolio (30–100 Tm), with the majority being the HIAB K-HiPro 425. Equipped with the advanced HiPro remote control system, these cranes deliver optimal precision, performance, and safety, allowing operators full remote control to handle demanding construction and industrial tasks.

Bryan Rupert, Business Line Director of MOFFETT Truck Mounted Forklifts at Hiab USA, stated: “We are happy to once again deliver on the needs of three of our long-standing partners in the home improvement segment in the US. MOFFETT has been a preferred product for its versatility and applications in all kinds of different scenarios related to home improvement projects, among others. Our technology integrations, enhanced safety features and improved ergonomic design continue to provide best-in-class options for our customers.”
