Hiab introduces mobile app for operators

Hiab, a division of Cargotec, has introduced the MyHiab mobile app to boost operator productivity and safety.

This digital tool offers a range of features and resources related to Hiab equipment throughout its lifespan, serving as a valuable companion for users. It also establishes a direct line of communication between Hiab and end-users.

“Hiab operators are our biggest fans and the most influential advocates of our solutions. This app is designed to support and simplify their workday and is our way of giving something back. It also makes it possible for us to reach them directly and learn more about their challenges to create better solutions for tomorrow,” stated Michael Bruninx, senior vice president of Services, at Hiab.

With MyHiab, operators gain instant access to tools for better daily planning and troubleshooting. Should they require further assistance, the app facilitates contacting the nearest Hiab service centre.

Additionally, in its initial release, Hiab can proactively communicate important equipment information and service updates directly to users.

The app is currently available for download in local language versions on both Apple’s App Store and Google Play, catering to users in Finland, France, Germany, Ireland, the Netherlands, Sweden, the UK, and the US.

Moreover, more markets and language options will be introduced over time. While initially focused on HIAB loader cranes, MULTILIFT demountables, and MOFFETT truck-mounted forklifts, MyHiab also contains relevant content for users of other Hiab load-handling equipment.

Aside from enhancing operator understanding, the app securely gathers essential data for Hiab, aiding in service improvement and product development efforts. HIPERFORM, another offering from Hiab, comprises intelligent solutions designed to maximize the lifecycle value of Hiab equipment by optimizing operator performance, equipment efficiency, and fleet productivity.

“MyHiab makes it possible to have daily touchpoints with our users, not limited to visits to workshops or on-road assistance. We aim to have an industry-leading service experience and this is a natural evolvement of our HIPERFORM offering,” added Michael Bruninx.
