Hellmann Worldwide Logistics and MAS Holdings will develop a new fashion logistics facility in Sri Lanka through their joint venture Hellmann MAS Supply Chain (HMSC).
The new built-to-suit hub will be located in Kimbulapitiya, close to Bandaranaike International Airport.
The facility will serve as a dedicated fashion logistics hub within Hellmann’s South Asia network.
The companies said the project supports Hellmann’s Forward2030 strategy and strengthens its global fashion logistics business.
For MAS Holdings, the investment supports its long-term expansion plans and reinforces its position in the apparel sector.
The logistics hub will cover more than 8,000 square meters and include climate-controlled and humidity-controlled storage zones.
The facility will also feature solar panels as part of its sustainability focus.
Hellmann and MAS said the site will support regional distribution across Asia, Africa and Europe while improving operational efficiency for fashion supply chains.
The project expands the partnership launched by the two companies in 2018 through Hellmann MAS Supply Chain.
“Sri Lanka combines world-class manufacturing and contract logistics capabilities with agile fashion supply chains,” said Patrick Grzywa, Regional COO Contract Logistics IMEA at Hellmann Worldwide Logistics.
“With this new built-to-suit facility, we are strengthening the end-to-end fashion logistics capabilities of Hellmann MAS Supply Chain.”
Shakthi Ranatunge, Chief Operating Officer at MAS Holdings, said the investment strengthens Sri Lanka’s position as a global apparel hub.
“This facility enhances our ability to offer speed and agility while supporting the development of a more resilient and future-ready apparel ecosystem in Sri Lanka,” Ranatunge noted.
