HD Hyundai Marine Solution to acquire Goltens Worldwide

HD Hyundai Marine Solution (HMS) has agreed to acquire Goltens Worldwide. The deal will expand the company’s global marine engineering, ship repair and maintenance services.

The acquisition is expected to close in late 2026 or early 2027. It will bring Goltens’ international service network into HMS’s wider marine aftermarket business.

As a result, HMS aims to strengthen its technical support for shipowners and operators worldwide. The expanded network will also serve vessels and engines built by HD Hyundai.

Goltens to maintain independent operations

Following the acquisition, Goltens will continue operating as an independent service provider. The company will retain its existing customer relationships, technical expertise and service approach.

Goltens has operated for 86 years. Today, it provides engineering and technical services to the marine, energy and industrial sectors.

The agreement will allow both companies to expand their service capabilities. In particular, they plan to strengthen vessel maintenance, repair and retrofit support.

Additionally, the partnership could support further investment in personnel, facilities and new technologies.

“This agreement creates an exciting opportunity to build on the strengths of Goltens and broaden what we can deliver for our customers,” said Sandeep Seth, CEO of Goltens Worldwide.

Seth also emphasized that the company would maintain its independent service model and established customer relationships.

Acquisition expected to close by early 2027

The companies expect to complete the transaction during the fourth quarter of 2026 or the first quarter of 2027.

Meanwhile, Goltens will continue its operations as usual. Customers can still contact their existing service teams for maintenance, repairs and ongoing projects.

Furthermore, the acquisition is expected to improve access to technical support across HMS’s global customer base.

The companies have not disclosed the financial terms of the agreement.
