Hapag-Lloyd has announced that it will discontinue its CCM service connecting Mexico and Central America from July 2026.
The service currently calls at Lázaro Cárdenas in Mexico, Acajutla in El Salvador and Corinto in Nicaragua.
According to the carrier, the final sailing on the service will be operated by MV Chiapas voyage 686877, with departure from Lázaro Cárdenas scheduled for July 7, 2026.
To maintain regional connectivity following the service withdrawal, Hapag-Lloyd confirmed that cargo destined for Corinto, Nicaragua, will continue to be served through its existing CCE service.
For shipments to El Salvador, cargo will be routed via Puerto Barrios in Guatemala, with onward connections arranged to final destinations in El Salvador.
The move reflects further network adjustments by carriers as they continue optimizing regional service coverage across Latin America.
