Hapag-Lloyd has suspended new bookings to Aden, Yemen, until further notice due to the ongoing regional situation.

Feeder services to Aden remain suspended. Therefore, Hapag-Lloyd cannot currently provide a reliable onward connection for cargo destined for the Yemeni port.

Options for affected cargo

The carrier has outlined several alternatives for shipments already booked or currently in transit.

Customers may request a change of destination to another Upper Gulf location. However, this option remains subject to operational feasibility and applicable charges.

For cargo already discharged in Jeddah, customers may terminate the shipment and clear the cargo in Saudi Arabia. Local customs and regulatory requirements will apply.

Customers may also request the return of their cargo to its origin. This option remains subject to operational feasibility and additional costs.

Hapag-Lloyd advised affected customers to contact their local Customer Service team to coordinate the available alternatives.
