Hapag-Lloyd is strengthening its Adriatic network with an upgraded ADX service and the launch of a new Intra Adriatic Service (IAS), improving connections between Egypt, the Adriatic and Asia.
Starting in week 29, the revised ADX service will provide weekly sailings between Port Said, Damietta, Koper and Venice. The carrier said the new rotation offers transit times of four days from Damietta to Koper and five days from Port Said, creating a faster option for Egyptian exports, particularly reefer cargo.
The updated ADX rotation will be: Port Said – Damietta – Koper – Venice.
From week 31, Hapag-Lloyd will also introduce the IAS service, linking its Far East SE1 service with Venice and Ancona via Rijeka. The new feeder is designed to improve connectivity, schedule reliability and cargo flows within the Adriatic.
The IAS rotation will be: Rijeka – Venice – Rijeka – Ancona – Rijeka.
Hapag-Lloyd added that its SE1 service will continue connecting Asia with Koper and Rijeka through the Gemini network while adding Algeciras calls in both directions.
