Hapag-Lloyd announces Asia to S. America rates surge

Hapag-Lloyd will increase rates for all cargoes and all container types from East Asia to South America East Coast with effect from 15 May 2020 as follows:

  • US$600/container

The German shipping company has also announced the following Ocean Tariff rates for all cargoes in 20’ and 40’ (incl. High Cube Containers) on the westbound trade from East Asia to North Europe and Mediterranean.

Valid for sailings commencing on 15 May 2020 onwards and until further notice, Hapag-Lloyd’s ocean tariff rates from East Asia (excluding Japan) will be as follows:
