GSBN adds another leading container carrier to its blockchain platform

Blockchain platform Global Shipping Business Network (GSBN) has added a new member with the Singapore-headquartered container shipping company Ocean Network Express (ONE) joining the blockchain platform.

Entering the technology initiative, ONE joins other major ocean carriers, such as COSCO, OOCL and Hapag-Lloyd, which are among the founders of GSBN.

By joining GSBN, ONE gains access to the consortium’s blockchain-enabled platform, which facilitates secure and trusted exchange of data between different parties across global shipping supply chains, according to GSBN’s announcement.

Bertrand Chen, CEO of GSBN, stated, “The shipping industry is at a critical moment in time where digitalisation has the potential to enable a quantum leap. What’s needed to make this a success is trusted collaboration.”
