DynaLiners Shares Index steadies as owner stocks rebound

The DynaLiners Shares Index recorded mixed movements during the latest week, as gains and losses across most sectors largely cancelled each other out.

The main exception was DLSI Owners. The sector recovered more than the losses recorded during the previous week, gaining 138 points, or 3.6%, to close at 3,931.

Most sector indices remain stable

The other DynaLiners Shares Index sectors posted only marginal gains or losses.

Across the companies tracked, there were 12 more share-price gainers than fallers. The average weekly change was an increase of 0.6%.

However, individual stocks recorded significant movements at both ends of the table.

Seacon shares climb sharply

Vietnamese shipowner Seacon recorded the strongest weekly performance, with its share price rising by 39%.

Vietnam Maritime Corporation followed with a gain of 20%.

Meanwhile, shares in Vietnamese port operator Gemadept fell by 33%. India’s Mercantile Ports & Logistics also recorded a notable decline of 14%.

The results reflected substantial volatility among individual companies, although the movements had only a limited impact on the broader DynaLiners Shares Index.
