CyberLogitec has secured a contract to supply the Terminal Operating System (TOS) for the new automated container terminal at Incheon New Port in South Korea.

The maritime and logistics IT company signed the agreement with Incheon Global Container Terminal (IGCT) for the Phase 1-2 development.

The terminal is scheduled to begin commercial operations in 2028. It will become the first fully automated container terminal at Incheon Port.

CyberLogitec will deploy its OPUS Terminal software to create an integrated digital platform for terminal operations.

Incheon terminal to automate berth, yard and gate operations

Incheon New Port Phase 1-2 will use automated equipment across its berth, yard and gate operations.

The facility will feature Double-Trolley Quayside Container Cranes (DTQC), Automated Rail-Mounted Gantry Cranes (ARMGC) and Automated Guided Vehicles (AGV).

According to CyberLogitec, the development will also be the first container terminal in South Korea to adopt a hybrid layout structure.

The OPUS Terminal system will manage berth, vessel, yard and gate operations through a single platform.

It will also connect with the terminal’s automated equipment control systems. This will support both operational planning and equipment execution using real-time data.

IGCT to operate new automated terminal

Incheon Global Container Terminal will operate the Phase 1-2 facility.

IGCT is a joint venture involving Hanjin Logistics, Sun Kwang, E1, KMTC and HMM. Incheon Port Authority also holds an equity stake in the operating company.

CyberLogitec said its previous experience with automated container terminals and equipment integration supported its selection for the project.

The company has deployed its OPUS Terminal technology at other international ports.

These projects include the expansion of the semi-automated TTI Algeciras terminal in Spain and a project at Shuwaikh Port in Kuwait.

CyberLogitec plans to continue expanding its presence in the smart port and automated terminal markets.
