CMA CGM upgrades JEDDEX service

French ocean carrier CMA CGM has enhanced JEDDEX service to connect Europe and Red Sea with African countries, Kenya and Mayotte, offering weekly departures.

The service will now cover the Indian Ocean market with the inclusion of the port of Longoni on top of Mombasa.

CMA CGM said that JEDDEX service will now be offered in 42 days with six vessels with up to 1,700 TEU capacity.

The port rotation will be as follows: Jeddah (Saudi Arabia) – Mombasa (Kenya) – Longoni (Mayotte) – Mombasa – Jeddah – Ain Sukhna (Egypt) – Aqaba (Jordan) – Jeddah.

The 2008-built container ship CMA CGM Cebu will be the first vessel that will sail under the updated rotation and it is estimated to arrive at Jeddah on 17 December, at Mombasa on 28 December and at Longoni on 2 January.
