CMA CGM updates intra-Levant service

CMA CGM has announced the reshuffling of its EMED EXPRESS 2 – Intra Levant service set up, connecting Lebanon, Syria, Egypt and South Turkey.

CMA CGM will deploy one vessel of 875TEU nominal capacity on the service, which will have the following rotation: Beirut (LBBEY) - Tripoli (LBKYE) - Lattakia (SYLTK) - Port Said East (EGPSE) - Damietta (EGDAM) - Iskenderun (TRISK) - Mersin (TRMER).

The frequency of the updated service, which is fully operated by the Marseille-based line and will start on 14 May from Beirut, will be 10 days.

The French carrier noted that the ocean transit time from Damietta to Iskenderun will be one day and to Mersin in two days, while Beirut to Lattakia will need 1.5 days and Damietta to Beirut 3.5 days.
