CMA CGM unveils new setup of NC Levant service

CMA CGM announced the NC LEVANT new service setup, which aims to improve regional coverage after the company’s recent investment in Egypt’s Trans Misr Terminal (TMT).

The updated rotation will be Felixstowe (England) – Hamburg (Germany) – Rotterdam (Netherlands) – Antwerp (Belgium) – Le Havre (France) – Malta – Alexandria (Egypt) – Damietta (Egypt) – Beirut (Lebanon) – Iskenderun (Turkiye) – Mersin (Turkiye) – Malta – Tanger (Morocco) – Felixstowe

The first vessel to call Alexandria TMT will be the Ef Olivia, which will is estimated to arrive at Alexandria TMT on 5 March.

Meanwhile, CMA CGM noted that El Dekheila and Port Said East/West in Egypt will be served via Damietta with the company’s SSL MED feeders’ weekly departures.

In the United Kingdom, Southampton will be replaced by Felixstowe call, with the first vessel calling Felixstowe being vessel the 6,422 TEU MYNY, with an ETA of 26 February 2023.

To improve coverage from the Mediterranean to North Europe, a northbound call in Malta will be added to the rotation, with CMA CGM saying that it aims to provide stronger connectivity from ports in the West Mediterranean, North Africa, and the Adriatic to North Europe.

The 2007-built vessel CMA CGM Iskenderun will make the first northbound call in Malta, with an ETA of 26 February 2023.
