CMA CGM to revamp AMERIGO service

CMA CGM announced the new configuration of its AMERIGO service, which will connect the Mediterranean and North America starting 10 February 2025, with the inaugural departure from Salerno.

The revised rotation includes calls at Algeciras (Spain), Salerno (Italy), La Spezia (Italy), Genoa (Italy), Vado Ligure (Italy), Valencia (Spain), Algeciras (Spain), New York (United States), Norfolk (United States), Savannah (United States), and Miami (United States).

This expanded itinerary introduces a new direct call at Salerno, enabling the AMERIGO service to cater specifically to markets in Southern Italy, while maintaining extensive coverage across the country.

Customers will benefit from fast transit times between Valencia and key ports on the United States East Coast, with shipments reaching New York in 12 days, Norfolk in 15 days, Savannah in 17 days, and Miami in 20 days, according to the French ocean carrier.
