CMA CGM will begin operating its Portugal East Coast (PGE) service on a standalone basis in October 2026.
The carrier said the change will increase capacity and maintain regular connections between Portugal, the United Kingdom and the Netherlands.
The 1,380 TEU Containerships Stellar will join its sister vessel, Containerships Arctic, on the intra-North Europe service.
Containerships Stellar will enter the service at Tilbury on 5 October 2026, replacing Elbtower.
The PGE port rotation will remain unchanged:
Tilbury – Rotterdam – Leixões – Setúbal – Tilbury
