CMA CGM has announced the launch of the Flamingo Express service, a weekly dedicated service to/from Miami, Virgin Islands, Bahamas and Haiti with optimised connections to/from North America, Caribbean, Asia and Europe using Kingston as a hub for full coverage.
In particular, the new service will offer a weekly direct service from/to Miami, the Virgin Islands, the Bahamas, Saint Martin and Haiti with competitive transit times from South Florida, while it will provide a weekly service linking the Virgin Islands and Bahamas to/from the Caribbean, Asia, Europe and North America.
Additionally, CMA CGM will introduce a new direct service from Haiti to Miami with a competitive transit time for refrigerated and garments exports through the Flamingo Express service, which will offer new direct service from Miami to the Bahamas, Virgin Islands and Saint Martin with fast transit time, suitable for refrigerated exports.
The Flamingo Express service will commence in December and will be solely operated by the French carrier.
The first southbound sailing will be on 10 December with the 700TEU vessel, Regula, calling at the Port of Miami in the US. The 2008-built boxship will call at the Lafito Port, Haiti, on 21 December with the first northbound sailing of the Flamingo Express service.
