CMA CGM raises FAK rates from Indian Subcontinent to Latin America, Europe and North Africa

CMA CGM announced new Freight All Kinds (FAK) rates from the Indian Subcontinent to multiple regions, reflecting continued pricing pressure across global trade lanes.

The new rates to Central America, the Caribbean and South America’s west coast will apply from June 10, 2026, based on gate-in dates at origin ports.

The carrier will apply the rates to dry and hazardous cargo moving from the Indian Subcontinent.

Among Latin American destinations, La Guaira and Puerto Cabello recorded the highest pricing levels.

CMA CGM set rates at US$5,150 per 20-foot container and US$5,500 per 40-foot container for both ports.

Kingston follows with rates of US$4,150 per 20-foot container and US$4,200 per 40-foot container.

Rates to Caucedo stand at US$4,050 per 20-foot container and US$3,800 per 40-foot container.

For Manzanillo, Panama, CMA CGM introduced rates of US$3,750 per 20-foot container and US$3,650 per 40-foot container.

Cartagena will see rates of US$3,500 per 20-foot container and US$3,350 per 40-foot container.

Buenaventura, San Antonio, Callao and Guayaquil will each carry rates of US$3,300 per 20-foot container and US$3,250 per 40-foot container.

CMA CGM said the rates include basic ocean freight and bunker-related surcharges.

The carrier added that terminal handling charges, peak season surcharges, safety-related charges and local fees remain excluded.

Separately, CMA CGM also introduced new FAK rates from the Indian Subcontinent to North Europe, the Mediterranean and North Africa.

The rates will take effect from June 15, 2026, until further notice.

The carrier set rates to North Europe at US$4,500 per 20-foot and 40-foot container.

Mediterranean trades will also carry rates of US$4,500 for both container sizes.

North Africa recorded the highest pricing among these regions, reaching US$5,500 per 20-foot and 40-foot container.

These rates apply to dry cargo originating from northwest India, southeast India, Sri Lanka and Pakistan.

CMA CGM said the pricing includes ocean freight and bunker-related surcharges but excludes terminal handling and security-related charges.
