CLdN has appointed Cameron Bowie as Chief Operating Officer of CLdN Shipping as the company continues expanding its short-sea shipping activities and European network.
Bowie will join CLdN on 13 July from Hapag-Lloyd, where he currently serves as Managing Director UK & Ireland.
He brings 36 years of experience in container shipping and maritime transport.
CLdN said Bowie’s experience will support the company’s growth strategy across short-sea container shipping and strengthen operations across UK, Irish and wider European trades.
Bowie succeeds Gary Walker, who will retire this summer after nearly three decades with CLdN.
Walker joined CLdN in 1997 and spent the last 12 years leading the company’s shipping activities.
During his tenure, CLdN significantly expanded its shipping operations and strengthened its position across European freight markets.
The appointment comes as CLdN continues expanding its footprint in the UK and European shipping sector, following recent investments and service growth initiatives.
