The carrier introduced new PSS levels from China to West Africa effective 1 June 2026 for dry and reefer cargo under short-term contracts.

For West Africa Central destinations, including Nigeria, Côte d’Ivoire, Benin, Ghana, Togo and Equatorial Guinea, CMA CGM will apply a surcharge of US$600 per TEU.

For West Africa South destinations, including Angola, Congo, DRC, Namibia, Gabon and Cameroon, the surcharge will be US$400 per TEU.

For West Africa North destinations, including Senegal, Liberia, Mauritania, Sierra Leone and Guinea, the surcharge will be US$300 per TEU.

CMA CGM also announced a new PSS for cargo moving from Asian main ports to Mediterranean ports.

Effective 15 June 2026 until further notice, the surcharge will be:

  • US$900 per 20’ container
  • US$1,800 per 40’ container

The surcharge applies to all cargo types.

Separately, CMA CGM introduced a PSS from the Far East to Male, Maldives.

Effective 28 May 2026, cargo moving to Male will face an additional surcharge of US$300 per TEU.

The latest increases reflect carriers’ efforts to raise pricing ahead of peak season demand and ongoing market disruptions.
