Brabo collaborates with Artemis Technologies to launch all-electric pilot boat at Antwerp port

Brabo, a provider of pilot and port services in Antwerp, Belgium, has partnered with Artemis Technologies to add an Artemis EF-12 Pilot boat to its fleet.

Set for delivery in late summer 2025, this fully electric foiling vessel marks a significant advancement for the port of Antwerp, aligning with global climate goals and promoting sustainable maritime practices.

The Artemis EF-12 Pilot boat, designed with input from global pilotage operators, adheres to the highest safety and performance standards and meets ES-TRIN (European Standard laying down Technical Requirements for Inland Navigation Vessels) regulations.

The Artemis EF-12 Pilot is is 100% electric and generates zero operational emissions, reducing operational costs by up to 80%. Its advanced active flight control system ensures precise handling, providing excellent stability and safety during pilot transfers, even in challenging conditions, and significantly improving comfort for pilots and crew.

Additionally, the Artemis eFoiler® electric propulsion system minimizes wake, allowing for high-speed transit in areas previously restricted to slower speeds. This enhances pilot hour efficiency and reduces environmental impact.
