AD Ports Group and e& have deployed a new AI-ready terrestrial digital network across AD Ports Group’s logistics and maritime infrastructure.
The new network extends more than 1,000 kilometers across the Group’s assets in Abu Dhabi.
AD Ports Group said the system supports real-time transmission of sensor data, video feeds and IoT signals across its operations.
The infrastructure is designed to support machine learning, automation and AI-powered decision-making through ultra-low latency connectivity.
The companies said the high-capacity terrestrial network strengthens operational synchronicity across ports, logistics and industrial assets.
“The future of global trade is intelligent and predictive,” said Captain Mohamed Juma Al Shamisi, Managing Director and Group CEO of AD Ports Group.
“We are embracing and leading this change by collaborating with globally leading technology companies.”
Masood M. Sharif Mahmood, Group CEO of e& and CEO of e& UAE, said the project creates the foundation for advanced automation and AI-driven logistics operations.
The terrestrial network forms part of AD Ports Group’s wider digital transformation strategy.
In 2025, the company also began deploying Low Earth Orbit (LEO) satellite connectivity across its global operations.
AD Ports Group said the combination of terrestrial, satellite and radio communications creates a resilient multi-layered digital connectivity system across its logistics network.
