WISTA International reelects Greek President for another two years

The Women’s International Shipping & Trading Association (WISTA) International has reelected Elpi Petraki as the organization’s president for another two years.

Petraki’s tenure as WISTA International President began in October 2022 and will extend at least until October 2026.

During WISTA International’s annual general meeting held in Limassol, Cyprus, the establishment of three new WISTA branches in China, Honduras, and Costa Rica was announced, highlighting the association’s growing global presence and raising the total number of branches to 62.

“At an event marking this milestone anniversary and celebrating its evolution over five decades, WISTA continues to exist for a reason—as a professional organization designed to empower women in the maritime industry by building bridges that create synergies among all genders,” stated Petraki.
